Too Cold to Exercise?

Yes, Yes as a matter of fact - it IS too damn cold! Actually I ran across this article in the New York Times today... "Too Cold to Exercise?" that mainly talks about different myths about cold weather and exercise. (I spend way too much time on the internet when Evan is out of town) Funny to learn that more people get injured in a warm environment vs a cold one. Also the cold air doesn't actually hurt your lungs at all; what irritates our lungs is DRY air. Anyway its an interesting article to check out if you have time. Will it make me actually go outside to exercise? That would be a resounding NO - I still think its too dang cold; and besides I have an elliptical runner in my house. But I might bug Evan to go running though ;)

Let it Snow!!!

Especially on mondays when I have the day off and can snuggle on my couch with my fat cat! Last night and this morning it snowed again. It is so beautiful! This is one thing I am loving about the northwest. I love that it snows, but not too much. Not enough for life to come to a halt. But it is enough to look at it, take a deep breath, and enjoy the quiet cold air that always comes with the snow.

I received coaching from Valentina

So last week I had a 45 min lesson with Valentina Weise whom you will see starting next week on PBS Ballroom challenge. We worked on my bolero routine sorta. After watching my routine with Nathan, she pretty much went right into the basic bolero stuff and showed me a little stuff at the end regarding the choreography. This lesson was an ego hit for sure. I was thinking to myself - 'geez do I even know how to bolero at all?' But she gave me some great stuff to work on. Looking forward to starting work on it again next week.

Here is a vid of valentina from last year so you can see who i worked with:
